Dijo Thomas’s   efforts in the past 3 1/2 years to Protect & Conserve Neelagiri Kaduva

1.     Search of 12 Years for an Extinct Mythical Animal called Patti Kaduva

2.     Dijo Discovered Neelagiri Kaduva in Neyyar Dam on 25 Sep 2014

3.     Another Important Contribution that Dijo gave to Science is the Invention of a New method called F3B-NSPM to Prove a new Species without Photos or DNA Test

4.     Dijo Scientifically Poved Neelagiri Kaduva using F3B-NSPM

5.     Unremitting work among People to Educate them on the Importance of Conservation of Neelagiri Kaduva

6.     Research in Thiruvananthapuram, Thrissur, Wayanad, Idukki, Paravoor, Kunnamkulam, Engandiyoor, Ponnani, Palakkad, Attappadi, Kasarkode, Pathanamthitta etc. in Kerala to find whether it still exists

7.     Presented Scientific Paper in 103rd Indian Science Congress 2016 in University of Mysore

8.     Dijo has Prepared Hundreds of Pages of Documentation on Neelagiri Kaduva alone, that too all alone.

9.     Educating the Local People in Thiruvananthapuram, Thrissur, Wayanad, Idukki, Paravoor, Kunnamkulam, Engandiyoor, Ponnani, Palakkad, Attappadi, Kasarkode, Pathanamthitta and other places in Kerala to make them conserve it.

10.   Dijo Tried Hard to get the Kerala Forest Department involved in the Conservation of Neelagiri Kaduva. CWWs till date, especially G Harikumar, have not supported Dijo Thomas, as their priority is in “Conserving Themselves” with Government Projects & Funds, and not an endangered rare wild animal.

11.   Taking classes in Clubs, Meetings, Schools etc. to create awareness among people about Neelagiri Kaduva & Environment

13.   As Neelagiri Kaduva lives in a Populated area, Dijo has been Staying in Engandiyoor Region for the past 1 ½ Years to involve the local people in Conservation of it.

14.   As Neelagiri Kaduva may attack domestic animals, Dijo is trying hard to make People understand its Importance & Prevent them from killing it or its Cub

15.   Dijo had been Monitoring the movement of Neelagiri Kaduva Secretly in an area from Kunnamkulam to Aluva.

16.   Dijo Discovered Raktha Athika, closely Related to Kangaroo Family in Pavaratty, Thrissur in June 2016

17.   He is also Studying Neelagiri Kaduva & Raktha Athika in that region & updating his knowledge

18.   Dijo has Scientifically Poved  Raktha Athika using F3B-NSPM

19.   He is Documenting his findings about Raktha Athika since its Discovery.

20.   He is also educating people from Ponnani to Kodungallor, the only place in the world where it exists, regarding the Importance of its Conservation.

21.    He Presented Scientific Paper in 104th Indian Science Congress 2017 in SV University. He presented Two Papers on Neelagiri Kaduva, & Raktha Athika, which is a Rarety.

22.   As he is short on money, he has Digitalized Hundreds of Pages of Documentation on Neelagiri Kaduva by using Computers of friends, whenever available. Often he don’t have money to use an internet café.

23.   The Documentation on Neelagiri Kaduva & RA has been made available in his Website, so that Future generations & Scientists will be able to get information on it.

24.   In addition to all these, he gives Information & Awareness about these Two New Species to the People through Media also, which, to say the least, is a Tedious & a Herculean process

25.  You have to Understand that Dijo Had been Doing all these activities without any Income at all. As he is not having enough money, he mostly travels from one place to another by getting lifts in other peoples bikes

26.   Dijo dedicates most of his time in Every Day for the Conservation of Neelagiri Kaduva, & Raktha Athika. He is also actively involved in other areas of Environment Protection.

We should Act Fast to Save the remaining few Neelagiri Kaduvas before it is killed by Local people or before it becomes totally extinct. Raktha Athika is also equally critical.
