Dijo Thomas,
Conservationalist
/ Environment Protection Activist / Wildlife Researcher,
have Found
a NEW Species, Neelagiri Kaduva [new name
given to Patti Kaduva], which
is bigger than a Leopard &
Critically Endangered;
1000 times rarer than even
Pandas, Tigers or even Snow Leopeard; in Neyyar
Dam, Kerala, India |

Description
of Neelagiri Kaduva [As described by
local people {Not Adivasis} in Vagamon 20 years back &
Later in Idukki, Thattekad, Wayanad, Mangalore etc.]:
I collected the features of Neelagiri
Kaduva/Patti
Kaduva from all these far off places - Idukki, Thattekkad,
Wayanad, Mangalore etc. The common Picture that I got
from those discriptions:

Neelagiri
Kaduva,
the NEW Species
Discovered by Dijo Thomas - Details |
Neelagiri
Kaduva
Neelagiri
Kaduva, at first sight,
looks roughly like a Leopard, with the size
of a Tiger.
It is Reddish Brown in colour.
The
NeelagiriKaduva
has the face of a Dog. It has stripes like
a Tiger, [but vauge], with the face of a
dog – hence the name "Patti Kaduva"
– meaning “DogTiger”. It also has dots on
its body, making ordinary people mistake
it for a Leopard. [To know the nature of
stripes & dots, please see the pic of
the Cub
of NeelagiriKaduva Killed in Neyyar
Dam
on 02
Oct 2014.
Photographs:
Do not exist. Pic of the Cub

the NEW Species Found by him in 103rd Indian
Science Congress; held at University
of Mysore on 07 Jan 2016 & an
updated paper in 104th Indian
Science Congress; held at SV University,
Tirupathi in
Jan 2017
Total
Confirmed Population: 2 [in
Thiruvantahapuram] + 3 [in Thrissur]=
5
Population:
NeelagiriKaduva is the Rarest Species in
the whole world , with a confirmed
population [by Dijo Thomas] of initial 4
{now only 2 adults remaining (possibly)
(as 2 cubs were killed by local people on
two different occasions)}, highest probability
of 10 and maximum possibility of only
25-30 [highly unlikely] in the whole world!
Sound:
It growls when angry. { Dijo Thomas has
heard it personally in Neyyar
Dam Thiruvantahapuram
Dist., & in Attappadi, Palakkad
Dist, in 2016 January}
Main
Prey: Dogs { Dijo Thomas thinks
that it may eat other members of Dog Family
like Doles, Hyena, wolves etc., but only
the first exists in the same geographical
location as NK in Kerala.} Goats, Cows,
Chicken, Rabbit etc. { Dijo Thomas thinks
that it Possibly eats deer, pigs, sambar
deer, wild goats etc. in the wild}
The
main prey of NeelagiriKaduva
are dogs. It usually is very shy of humans
& stays hidden in forests. They come
to human settlements near forests very rarely,
mostly to hunt dogs. Unlike Leopards, they
do not normally attack humans.
The
most interesting feature that fascinated
me no ends; was that after attacking a dog
it will put it on its shoulder and carry
the kill to the forests. There, far away
from human settlement only it will eat them.
Size:
The NEW
Species
is as Big as a Tiger.
The Female is smaller, only 3/4th
of the male. {Both were confirmed by
Dijo Thomas
through Eye witness accounts
& Pug Mark size}
Pug
Mark Size: 12 cm. [A
fully grown adult Tiger's Pug Mark Size:
9 - 14 cm in India]
Colloquial
Names: Patti Kaduva, Naai
Puli, Patti Puli. Naai Kottan,
Naai Nari, Kattan Puli etc
Range:
NeelagiriKaduva
has high Migratory nature. Its range
extends from 100 to 200 Kms aprox.
NeelagiriKaduva
do NOT attack Human beings.
NeelagiriKaduva
is not at all afraid of Human beings. |

My
Team & Myself had narrowly missed it many
times in Kanjani, during those
2 months.
As we were searching for NeelagiriKaduva
[NK]
using a torch in night, they sense us much before
we are able to see them, & they move way.
We
were even able to smell it more than 3 times.
NeelagiriKaduva
has
a smell similar to that of a Tiger, but more intense.
More
than another 100 + persons have
seen it in the past 15 years,
before 2016, in Kanjani-Engandiyoor-Kunnamkulam

Discovery
& Proving of the New Species NeelagiriKaduva
by Dijo Thomas on 25 Sep 2014 -
Numerous Unique Details & Facts that makes
it Rarest of Rare Episode in the World!
|
After 1000s of Years, a New Species, which
is bigger than a Leopard, is found! |
|
At
Present there are only 7 Big Cats [Lion,
Tiger, Leopeard etc.]. The New Species NeelagiriKaduva,
is the 8 th Big Cat in the world ! |
|
NeelagiriKaduva
is the Rarest animal in the whole world,
with a confirmed population [by Dijo Thomas]
of initial 4 {now only 2 adults remaining
(as 2 cubs were killed by local people on
two different occasions)}, highest probability
of 10 and maximum possibility of only 25-30
[highly unlikely] in the whole world! |
|
For the First time in the World a New Species
was proved Scientifically {through Features
Based - Species Elimination Method [FB-SEM]}
by Dijo Thomas without Pictures or Direct
sightings! |
|
If
we don’t take urgent steps to conserve
it, the New Species found will become totally
Extinct, within no time. The New Species
found is an Extinct prone Species, from
what Dijo Thomas had studied about it |
|
The
Forest Department had forwarded <Features
Based - Species Elimination Method> &
the <Project NeelagiriKaduva> submitted
by Dijo Thomas to WII, Dehradun, an internationally
acclaimed Institution. WII has accepted his
Findings |
|
If
this was in any other country than this wretched
India, the government would have given full
support to Dijo Thomas for conserving it.
Here the Government & Forest Dept. is
doing everything to prevent Dijo Thomas from
finding & conserving it |
|
For
the past 10 months, Dijo Thomas has been borrowing
money from friends to fight fight for NeelagiriKaduva |

Features
Based - Species Elimination Method
|
The
Scientific Method devised
by Mr. Dijo Thomas
in Sep 2014 to prove that the Unknown
Mysterious Animal attacking in Neyyar
Dam is
a New Species! |
In
Neyyar dam, due to various factors, conventional
way of identifying a New Species was not
possible. Like ...
1.
There was no direct sighting by Mr. Dijo
Thomas. 2. There were no photographs taken.
3. People in their fear were not able to
observe all the important features. 4. All
people who saw it thought that it was a
Leopard [shows its similarity to Leopard]
5. There are no previously recorded data
regarding PattiKaduva. Etc. ……..…....
Therefore Mr. Dijo Thomas uses a Novel
method devised by himself, for the first
time in the World, named Features
Based - Species Elimination Method;
to prove that the animal attacking there
is a New Species!

Mr.
Dijo Thomas has challenged Mr. PO Namer, head
of wildlife in Forestery College , Thrissur DFO
& any Scientist for an Open Debate before
Media at the Press Club in Thrissur, through News
Papers & TV Channels. Till date they have
not responded.
First,
till second week of April, they said that it was
'without any doubt' a Wild
Cat. After second week of April, they
said it was 'without any doubt'
an ordinary dog, that grew big because
it ate chicken waste!!??(sic)
Mr.
PO Namer has also not repled to 7 e-mails sent
by Dijo Thomas to clarify what the pug marks found
in Kanjani are + for an Open Debate
before Media at the Press Club in Thrissur.
They
have also not responded to the public Challenge
by Dijo Thomas through News

Mr. Dijo Thomas had openly
published Features Based - Species
Elimination Method; in his websites
from October 2014 till date & had
Challenged anyone to Disprove it.
"Anyone
is most welcome to find out any flaws in my Theory
& Proof if they can find one / disprove it.
I promise that if somebody can convincingly disprove
my Theory & Proof, I will definitely publish
it in Global Wildlife Conservation Society [GWCS]
website". : Dijo Thomas
Nobody has been able to Disprove Theory &
Proof put forward by Dijo

Elephant Poaching Case
The
role of Chief
Wildlife Warden G. Harikumar, second
in Kerala
Forest Department hirarchy,
& directly in charge of Wildlife, in
Elephant Poaching case is a suspect. It
is not possible for the poachers to hunt
elephants in such a large scale, without
active support from somebody high in Kerala
Forest Department. Mr. N. A Naseer
Photographer & Wildlife Enthusiast,
& other sources have confirmed that
more than 286 wild Elephants were killed.
If not directly involved, the killing in
large numbers of Elephants is a big failure
on the part of CWW. He should have quit
long before on moral grounds. His inefficiency,
which led to the biggest elephant poaching
in history of mankind, is another issue.
A
Poaching of this magnitude could not have
taken place without knowledge of Chief
Wildlife Warden G. Harikumar.
a.
A DFO or Range Officer may assist the poachers,
but as the poaching took place all over
Kerala, it occured under many DFOs &
Range Officers. It is impossible for all
of them to be corrupt.
b.
Any case of Elephant / Tiger Poaching should
be reported to Chief
Wildlife Warden G. Harikumar,
which is mandatory by Law. Therefore most
of the cases woulh have been reported to
Chief
Wildlife Warden G. Harikumar.
c.
Eventhough poaching took place for more
than 1 year & 286
wild Elephants were killed, NOT
even a Single case was registered. Till
Media reported these, when a poacher himself
approaced media. Such huge Cover-Up could
not have taken place without the orders
of Chief
Wildlife Warden G. Harikumar.
d.
Chief
Wildlife Warden G. Harikumar
would not have done that without being a
part of the Poaching Racket & without
getting a cut of it.
e.
Chief
Wildlife Warden G. Harikumar
also under Vigelance probe in taking huge
bribes regarding the seizeing of Poached
Tusks from the house of a Film actor in
Kerala.
2. Conservation of NeelagiriKaduva
The
person who is responsible to protect the
Wildlife in Kerala, & who draws people's
money for the same, Chief
Wildlife Warden G. Harikumar,
is the one who is opposing the Conservation
of NeelagiriKaduva. Though PCCF Biodiversity
had promised permission to search the Forests
to take pictures of NeelagiriKaduva, many
times, it was Harikumar who was blocking
it. As it is a purposeful & deliberate
action on his part, his action amounts to
something much worse than that of the poachers.
As
he has committed multiple offences of grave
nature, he should be immediately removed
from office, dismissed & other necessary
punitive actions should be taken..

What
Prominent people Promised & What they actually did
to Protect & Save the NEW
Species?! |
|
|
Here we can see what the real attitude of a person is,
who makes tall claims of protecting environment! |
|
|
Shashi Tharoor:
As
the MP of Neyyar Dam area, Thiruvananthapuram, I approached
him save the NEW
Species.
He
promised me that he would get me Sponsorship from US &
that he would do everything to save the NEW
Species.
I
sent him 2 e-mails with all the details. I got his reply
that the "NEW
Species is not listed Anywhere else & there are no
records of it. There are no
records of it even in
the Colonial Era!"
WOW
& WOW!
That
was more than what I bargained for!
1.
If it were already listed, would I call it a NEW
Species!!
2. Subconsciously,
he believes that anything western is better than Indian
& that Colonial
India is superior to the present India (sic) ! |
